ST. LOUIS — Missouri Baptist women's soccer closed out their final home match in style Saturday evening, earning a 2-1 win on Senior Night at Spartan Field. 

The Spartans struck early when senior Emma Selsor found the back of the net in the 16th minute off a pass from Ellie Mollish. A few minutes later, Kacey Watson struck, giving the Spartans a 2-0 lead. Christina Velazquez Miranda for William Penn University answered in the 27th minute for the final goal of the game. 

Goalkeeper Jordyn Maryas recorded four saves to preserve the win, helping the Spartan finish the home slate on a high note. 

Before kickoff, MBU honored its senior class — Kacey Watson, Emma Selsor, Natalie Gum, Ellie Mollish, Gabbie Wood, and Piper Brockmeier — for their contributions to the program on and off the field. 

The Spartans now turn their attention to Missouri Valley. They will hit the road on Oct. 29 for kickoff at 5 p.m.
