MARSHALL, MO. — Facing one of the top teams in the nation, Missouri Baptist University women's soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 5 Missouri Valley College on Tuesday night.
The Spartans battled to stay within reach early but struggled to generate consistent offensive chances against the Vikings' high-pressure attack. Missouri Valley capitalized with all three goals from Ashley Arribas and Judit Ferre happening in the first half to seal the win.
MBU goal tender Jordyn Maryas had six saves.
Missouri Baptist will look to bounce back in its regular-season finale Saturday at MidAmerica Nazarene. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
