ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Missouri Baptist University men's soccer team will travel to Marshall, Mo., to take on receiving votes Missouri Valley College on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 7:30 p.m. The Spartans will then head to Olathe, Kan., to face No. 2 Mid-America Nazarene University on Saturday at 3 p.m.
The MBU men's soccer team is looking to end a long drought against the Vikings, having not earned a win over Missouri Valley since 2009. The two teams last met on Sept. 10 in St. Louis, where the Spartans fell 2-5. With both MBU and MVC holding the same conference record, this matchup promises to be a tough and competitive battle as the Spartans aim for their fifth conference victory of the season.
The Spartans will take on the Patriots on Saturday, holding just one historical win in the series for the MBU men's soccer program. That victory came in their most recent meeting in 2022, when the Spartans secured a 2-1 win. This season, the Patriots hold an overall record of 10-1-4 and a conference mark of 7-1-3. Their latest match this season ended in a 1-1 draw against Graceland University, a team MBU defeated 2-1 earlier this season.
