OLATHE, KAN. — Despite a strong defensive effort, the Missouri Baptist University women's soccer team fell 2–0 on the road Saturday afternoon against MidAmerica Nazarene University.
The Spartans managed to keep the match close thanks to an impressive 11 saves from goalkeeper Jordyn Maryas, who helped limit the opposing offense's opportunities. However, Missouri Baptist struggled to generate chances on the attack, finishing with just one shot on goal.
The loss marks the end of MBU's regular-season schedule as the team looks to regroup heading into the Heart of America Conference tournament—more information on the tournament to come.
