KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missouri Baptist University quarterback Jacob Jones was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after delivering a historic performance in the Spartans' 52–17 season-ending victory over William Woods.
Jones finished with 286 total yards and four touchdowns, throwing for 182 yards and two scores while adding 104 rushing yards and two more touchdowns. With the performance, he became the first quarterback in MBU history to record more than 100 passing yards and 100 rushing yards in the same game.
