ST. LOUIS — Missouri Baptist University men's basketball continues its season-opening stretch Tuesday night with a non-conference matchup at Brescia University. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT at the Moore Center in Owensboro, Kentucky.
The Matchup
MBU enters at 1–0 after an 80–71 win over UHSP in the season opener, powered by balanced scoring and a 44–28 advantage in points in the paint. The Spartans led wire-to-wire, shot 53.8 percent from the field, and forced 14 turnovers.
Brescia opened its season with an 85–75 loss at Lindsey Wilson and also played an exhibition at Valparaiso.
This marks the first meeting between the Spartans and Bearcats in the Taylor Jarvis era and the first-ever matchup between the programs.

MBU showcased depth and efficiency in the opener, with five players scoring seven or more points.
The Spartans also recorded 11 steals and controlled the glass 34–20, signaling versatility and defensive pressure early in the campaign.
On the Road
Tuesday marks the second contest in a four-game swing away from home to begin the season. MBU visits Columbia College on Nov. 12 before its Heart of America home debut on Nov. 15 against Clarke University. The Spartans also face UHSP again Saturday on the road to continue their early non-conference slate.
