ATCHISON, KAN. — The Missouri Baptist University women's basketball team fell on the road to the Benedictine Ravens 75-48 on Saturday afternoon, battling through all four quarters against the conference opponent.
Eva Parks led the Spartans with nine points on 3-of-8 shooting, including 1-for-1 from three-point range, and added two rebounds. The Spartans finished with 36 rebounds, including six offensive boards, and recorded 13 assists as a team.
Missouri Baptist showed improved offensive rhythm in the second half, scoring 30 points over the final two quarters after being held to 18 in the first half. Madelyn Eads and Abigail Williams each contributed key baskets down the stretch, while the Spartans closed the game shooting 42.9 percent from beyond the arc in the fourth quarter.
Next Friday, Dec. 19. the Spartans will take flight down to Lakeland, Fla., to take on Southeastern University. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
