Lymenstull Lands on Collegiate Shootout All-Tournament Team as MBU Competes Twice in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Missouri Baptist University faced elite national competition over a four-day stretch in Las Vegas, opening play at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational before closing the trip at the Collegiate Shootout.

Missouri Baptist opened the week at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 18–19), competing in a deep varsity field on both the men's and women's sides.

The Spartan women finished 13th overall out of 42 teams, totaling 7,339 pins. Senior Savanah Scheldberg led the way as an individual, finishing 16th out of 238 bowlers. The Farmington, Mo., native tallied 1,573 pins, a 224 game-high (game five), and averaged 196.63. Following Scheldberg was Amber Lymenstull in 45th (185.75), Kassandra Foss in 64th (180.38), and Emily Wagner in 142nd (191.33).

On the men's side, Missouri Baptist placed 34th overall with a total pinfall of 7,994.  Charlie Hunter paced the Spartans with a 1,612 eight-game series (201.5 avg.), followed by Silas Moats at 1,529 (191.1 avg.). Alec Forester additionally contributed 1,407 and a 201 average across seven games.

Collegiate Shootout
MBU bowling returned to action at the Collegiate Shootout (Dec. 20–21), competing against more than 60 varsity programs in one of the most significant events of the season.

The Spartan men finished 24th overall with 8,294 pins following qualifying and baker play. Hunter again led MBU individually, placing 37th after rolling a 1,069 five-game series (213.8 avg.), highlighted by a 278 in game two. Moats added 1,032 (206.4 avg.), while Bryson Hicks posted 1,020 (204.0 avg.).

On the women's side, Lymenstull delivered a standout performance, earning a spot on the Collegiate Shootout All-Tournament Team with a fourth-place finish out of 248 bowlers. She averaged 207, with a pinfall of 1,035, to lead MBU to a 10th-place finish as a team (7,501). Foss and Samantha DeBeaux both landed inside the top-40, tying each other in both pinfall (923) and average (184.6). Foss topped out at 204 in game five, and DeBeaux posted 213 in game two.
