ST. LOUIS - Hosting Williams Baptist, the Spartans honored their six seniors for their efforts and dedication to the Missouri Baptist Women's Basketball team, unfortunately the Spartans were unable to come away with a victory as they fell to the Eagles 91-69.
Prior to the contest, Chardonnay Jones, Aliyah Williams, Madi Saulsbery, Sophia Horton, Kayleigh Winch, and Marija Runic were all recognized during the Senior Day festivities.
The Spartans came out ready to go, and were playing good basketball with the talented Eagles, but Williams Baptist was able to pull away and create a significant gap between the two scores.
Williams Baptist really took control in the second quarter as they outscored Missouri Baptist 30-10.
Winch led the Spartans with 14 points, only missing one field goal, and Horton, Williams, and Riley Jansen all posted double digit figures in the points column.
The Spartans shot 45.6 percent from the field, but 22 turnovers plagued the squad as they led to 32 points for the Eagles.
