COLUMBIA, Mo. – Missouri Baptist University men's basketball fell to Columbia College, 93-67, on Saturday afternoon in its final regular-season game.
With the loss, MBU dropped to 12-16 overall, 5-9 on the road, and 9-9 in American Midwest Conference (AMC) play. The Spartans secured the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament.
Only two Spartans scored in double figures, led by Evan Palmquist with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. He added six rebounds, two steals, and an assist.
Breven McMullen contributed 11 points and five rebounds.
It was a tough shooting day for MBU, as the Spartans shot just 36.1% from the field and 25% from three-point range.
Meanwhile, the Cougars capitalized on their opportunities, shooting 47.9% from the floor and 42.9% from deep. CC led from start to finish, never trailing in the contest.
