ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Baptist University men's and women's tennis teams fell to McKendree University on Friday afternoon at the Forest Lake Tennis Club.

Women's Tennis

The Spartan women suffered a 4-1 defeat, with their lone point coming from a hard-fought victory by Polina Agapitova at the No. 2 singles spot. Agapitova secured the win, 7-5, 6-4.

With the loss, MBU dropped to 5-2 on the season, marking its second straight defeat.

Men's Tennis

The Spartan men fell 5-2 to the Bearcats but earned one of their points by claiming the doubles point. The duos of Luca da Silva Ebenriter/Sebastian Junghanns and Strahinja Radanovic/Arkhip Tokmakov each picked up wins in doubles play.

In singles, Tokmakov secured the Spartans' only win, taking his match 6-1, 6-2.

With the loss, MBU moved to 5-3 on the year.
