FORT WORTH, Texas—Missouri Baptist women's wrestling crowned two champions and will send four wrestlers to nationals.
Josette Partney and
Anastasia Hardin each received automatic berths in the national tournament, and
Chloe Herrick and
Emma Schreiber both claimed wild card bids to nationals. The Spartans placed fourth overall at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships.
Current No. 5 at 160,
Josette Partney, took care of business this weekend. She rattled off three dominant wins, which included two falls and a 7-0 decision in the finals, to claim another conference championship.

Anastasia Hardin claimed her first conference title this weekend, as she also captured three wins en route to her first-place finish at the tournament. Hardin picked up two falls and decision in the finals to punch her ticket to the national tournament.
Standout performances for the Spartans included
Chloe Herrick, who placed second at 124 pounds. Herrick won a narrow 3-2 decision in her semifinal bout before losing in the championship match to finish second on the day.
Other team performances include
Emma Schreiber who took third with a technical fall,
Cara Cheng who took fourth after a she picked up a fall, and
Alyssa King who took fourth after a win via fall.
The Spartans may send more wrestlers to the national tournament after the voting on Tuesday to determine the remaining wrestlers.Â
The four qualifiers will travel to Park City, Kan., in two weeks to compete in the national championships. Wrestling will start on Friday, March 14th, 2025.
