ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Baptist University men's soccer team continues conference play this week with a road and home matchup. The Spartans will travel to William Woods University (Mo.) on Wednesday, Sept. 17, for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff, before returning home on Saturday, Sept. 20, to host Grand View University at 7 p.m.
Since 2005, MBU and William Woods have faced off 24 times in what has consistently been a tightly contested series. The Spartans hold a slight edge with 11 victories, while William Woods is close behind with 10 wins. The two programs have also battled to three draws.
The Owls enter the matchup with an identical record to the Spartans, as both teams sit at 2-3-1 in the 2025 season.
MBU will be looking to capture its second-ever Heart of America Athletic Conference win this week as they face off against the Owls.
The Spartans have met Grand View just once before, a 2005 matchup that ended in a 2-0 loss for MBU. This season, the Vikings are off to a strong start with a 6-0-1 overall record and a perfect 2-0 mark in Heart of America Athletic Conference play.
