ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Baptist University men's soccer team will be back on the road to play two conference matchups this week against Central Methodist University (Mo.) and Park University (Mo.).
The Spartans will open the week with a 7:30 p.m. matchup at Central Methodist on Wednesday evening before heading west to face Park on Saturday afternoon.
MBU has faced the Eagles just four times in men's soccer history, with the series split evenly. The most recent meeting came in 2013, when the Spartans earned a 2-1 victory over CMU.
Central Methodist enters the matchup with a 4-2-3 overall record and a 2-1-2 mark in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. The Eagles boast a potent offense, with multiple players contributing goals and assists.
On Sept. 22, the Spartans will head to Parkville, Mo., to take on the Park University Pirates. The series between the two programs dates to 2009, with their most recent meeting in 2019, when the Pirates came away with a 2-0 victory.
The Pirates hold a 5-1-2 overall record and stand at 2-1-1 in conference play. In their most recent outing, they earned a 3-1 victory over Benedictine College. Goalkeeper Filipe Ramos, who was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week in week three, has continued to serve as a formidable presence in net for Park.
