Missouri Baptist Offense Stifled in Loss to Park

PARKVILLE, MO. — The Missouri Baptist University women's soccer team struggled to generate offense Saturday, falling 4-0 to Park in a Heart of America Athletic Conference matchup.

The Spartans (3-7-1, 2-3-0) managed just three total shots, with two on goal, while Park (4-2-2, 2-1-2) dominated possession and peppered the goal with 25 shots, including 12 on frame.

Park opened the scoring in the 14th minute when Patrycia Kozak found the net off an assist from Megan Everhart. Lilli Porsch doubled the lead in the 22nd, also assisted by Everhart, before Emma Le made it 3-0 just before halftime. Piper Zeigler capped the scoring less than a minute into the second half with a goal assisted by Kozak.

Goalkeeper Jordyn Maryas recorded eight saves under heavy pressure, while Park's Frankie Williams faced just two shots on goal, stopping both to earn the clean sheet.

The Spartans will be headed to Iowa for a game against Graceland University on Oct. 4. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
