ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Baptist University men's soccer team dropped its first conference matchup of the 2025 season, falling to Benedictine College on Saturday afternoon. The Ravens secured their fourth win of the year, and with it, their first conference victory.
The Spartans held strong through the opening 40 minutes, but Benedictine broke through late in the first half. Kody Argaez found the back of the net off an assist from Carson Wilcox, giving the Ravens the edge heading into halftime.
The Ravens doubled their advantage just over six minutes into the second half. Juanes Hernandez struck in the 52nd minute, finishing a setup from Kody Argaez to extend Benedictine's lead to 2–0.
Benedictine sealed the match late when Eliah Froeyland capitalized on a fast break to net the final goal, securing the Ravens' 3–0 win and their first conference victory of the season.
Despite the loss, the Spartans had several standout efforts on the defensive end. Craig Moore, Sean Bannon, Kyle Nuernberger, and Sean Stone all played the full 90 minutes to anchor the Spartans' back line.
