ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University men's lacrosse fell 24-7 on Saturday night to No. 3 Aquinas University.
The loss is the Spartans' fourth consecutive, dropping the team to 1-4 overall.
The Saints shut MBU out in the first quarter and scored six behind a pair from Braeden Williams.
Izzy Golden got the team on the board with 8:01 remaining in the second quarter to draw the Spartans to within 10-1. It sent the Spartans on a 3-0 run, with goals from
Drew Chiodini and
Caleb Ward.
After a
Joe Busselman tally with 8:21 in the third, Aquinas rattled off eight goals in a row, stretching to Jaiden Woodson's at 6:09 in the fourth.
Golden put up one last goal for the home team with 2:48 before the game ended with a 24-7 final score.
The Spartans are back at Spartan Field on Saturday, March 14, for Senior Night against Missouri Valley College. The opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m.
