ST. LOUIS – The women's soccer team started off the season at Culver Stockton ending the game in a 0-0 tie.

The Spartans worked hard through the whole game to keep the Wildcats scoreless.  Despite the effort through out the game the Spartans also remained scoreless.

 In the first half MBU had one shot.  In the second half the Spartans took the offensive and had four shots trying to take the lead in the game.  As the game went into the first overtime the Spartans began to let down with two shots and were unable to get any shots off in the second over time.

On the stat line Lauren Guerrero, Heather Schneider, Donna Joliff, Taylor Giese, Megan Allen, Kathryn Foytlin, and Hannah McElroy all had one shot.  Heather Schneider, Kathryn Foytlin, and Hannah McElroy also had one shot on goal.  Goalie, Kayla Benoit, played 110:00 and had seven saves on the game.

The team will play again on Spetember 6, 2014, at Martin Methodist.
