ST. LOUIS -- Goalkeeper Alex Lair recieved the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Defensive Player of the Week award for the third time this season, the conference announced Monday.

Lair, no stranger to these awards, takes home her third weekly AMC award with another outstanding week in the net for the Spartans. The Canadian keeper posted her third shutout of the season against Lyon after holding the Eagles of Williams Baptist College to just one goal after seven saves. Lair totaled 12 saves on the week, bringing her season total up to 111 which sits her fourth in the Conference. Lair, only a sophomore, will be tested on Friday, November 6, as the Spartans are set to face Lyon again in the quarterfinals of the AMC tournament.
