SIX SPARTANS NAMED TO WOMEN’S SOCCER ALL-CONFERENCE LIST

COLUMBIA, Mo. – At the conclusion of Thursday's AMC Championship game, the list of Women's Soccer All-Conference selections was announced. Six Spartans were named including three members on the First Team.

Leading the First Team were seniors Jackie Hagan and Allie Heinz and freshman Maddie Mrazik. On the Honorable Mention list was senior goalkeeper Jemica Artillaga, freshman forward Madi Dunahue, and senior midfielder Nicole Talley.

For Hagan, the nod to the First Team puts a bow on one of the program's all-time great careers. The Maitland, Florida native started a record 77 straight games from the beginning of her freshman year to the final match against Columbia on Thursday. Hagan becomes a four-time All-AMC selection with back to back seasons on the First Team.

Allie Heinz was right there alongside Hagan nearly every step of the way. Heinz made 75 starts in her four-year career at right back. The Troy, Mo. native was also a First-Team selection in 2017.

Rounding out the First Team for the Spartans was freshman Maddie Mrazik. The former Ft. Zumwalt East standout tied for the team-lead with eight goals and led the team with seven assists.

On the Honorable Mention list, goalkeeper Jemica Artillaga earned All-Conference honors for the second straight year. The Sydney, Australia native started 38 games in her two-year stint with the Spartans. This season, Artillaga recorded seven shutouts and combined with freshman Hanna Harrison for a scoreless streak of nearly 600 minutes.

Nicole Talley started all 20 games in 2019 and became the Spartans' go-to penalty kick taker. The Ballwin native scored was a perfect 3-3 from the spot and finished the season 12 total points.

Madi Dunahue tied with fellow freshman Mrazik for the team-lead with eight goals, four of which held up as game-winners. She was also second behind Mrazik with 17 points.

The Spartans finished the season with a record 11-9-1 including a program record 10-game winning streak.
