MOUNT VERNON, Ga.- Saturday (Dec 10), (12) Missouri Baptist women's wrestling faced off against multiple ranked schools at the Brewton-Parker Baron Duals. This included (4) Campbellsville, (3) Life University, and the hosts, (17) Brewton-Parker.

The first match up of the night for the Spartans was Campbellsville. Starting off at 101- pounds is nationally ranked 6^th, Alyssa Quezaire who won her match by tech fall 10-0. The Spartans next win of the match up came from Riley White at 123-pounds, who prevailed over her opponent with at pin at 3:00. The next wins in the match up against the Tigers came from 8^th ranked, Tiyahna Askew and 10^th ranked Josette Partney. Askew at 136-pounds, had a quick match against her opponent, securing a win by fall at 1:41. Partney, wrestling at 143-pounds was able to beat out her opponent in the first period, securing a tech fall win, 12-1. Unfortunately, the Spartans went on the lost their next three matches and ultimately lost the match up against the Tigers, 18-26.

The next opponent for MBU was the BPC red team where the Spartans went undefeated. Quezaire was back at it for the Spartans and once again defeated her opponent by tech fall, 10-0. Next up, was Riley White who won once again, this time by forfeit. Taryn Johnson, at 130-pounds hit the mat for the first time during the duals and defeated her opponent by pin in less than 30 seconds. Lindsay Mills who was up for the first time of the night, also won her match by forfeit. In similar fashion to her last match up, Askew once again pinned her opponent in under two minutes. This was a trend for the Spartans as  both Partney and Hardin won their matches by fall in under two minutes as well. Partney was able to pin her opponent in 1:08 while Hardin was able to take down her opponent in only 23 seconds. The match up ended with Ki'Eisha Cathey winning her match by forfeit. The Spartans prevailed 39-0 over BPC red.

Their third match up of the night, the Spartans faced off against Life University. Quezaire kept her streak going with a pin against her opponent at 2:58. After forfeiting the next to match ups, Riley White, lost her first match of the night by tech fall 10-0. Taryn Johnson also lost her next match up by tech fall 10-0. Our next win came from Askew with a pin at 1:42. Partney kept the momentum going with a pin against her opponent in less than a minute. The Spartans ended the match up with after losing their next three bouts. Life didn't treat the Spartans well as they won 32-15, the second loss of the night for MBU.

The final opponent for the Spartans was the BPC blue team. Quezaire kept her streak going throughout the night, ending her bouts undefeated with a win by decision 7-0 against 17^th ranked Gabriella Garcia. BPC forfeited the next two rounds, but the Spartans next win wouldn't come till Tiyahna Askew. She was the second Spartan of the night to remain undefeated, beating out her opponent by decision, 7-3. Partney, the last of the Spartans to remain undefeated throughout the night won against 11^th ranked Leidaly Rivera by tech fall 12-2. Anastasia Hardin and Derriona Johnson went on to lose their match ups, thus ending the night with a 35-11 loss against BPC blue.

Women's wrestling will hold their final tune up before the NWCA National Dual Championships at the Avila University Duals on Dec 16 in Kansas City, Mo.
