The Missouri Baptist University men's track & field team divided and conquered Saturday with most of them running in the Indiana Wesleyan University Midwest Classic and a smaller contingent of throwers participating in the Illinois College Jim Green Invite.

On the weekend, the MBU men combined for seven Top-10 finishes. At the IWU Midwest Classic, three-time defending AMC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Donovan Denslow was busy once again. The junior placed fifth out of 36 in the 1000-meter run (2:33.59) and came up three seconds short of another NAIA standard.

Denslow also anchored MBU's Distance Medley Relay (4000m) that narrowly missed a podium finish. The Distance Medley Relay that consisted of Denslow,
David Fletcher,
Ethan Bliss, and
Josiah Heras, clocked in at 10:20.89, converted to 10:12.57, which was good for an NAIA 'A' standard in the event. Their time currently ranks as the ninth fastest DMR time in the country.

Other Top-10 finishes in Indiana included freshman
Josiah Heras (9
th) in the 400-meter run and
Keon Graham (10
th) in the 60-meter hurdles. With a time of 52.33, Heras took over the top spot in the 400 in the AMC.

Meanwhile in Jacksonville, Ill.
Jordan Walker-Wright doubled up on Top-10 finishes placing fifth out of 39 participants in the shot put (12.95m) and seventh out of 33 with a PR of 13.82m on his fifth attempt. Joining Walker-Wright with PRs in the shot put and weight throw were underclassmen
Jordan Notz,
Collin Hutson (10
th) and
Warren Gann. Placing 10
th in the shot,
Jordan Notz improved his PR from 9.74m to 10.49m. Freshman
Warren Gann also PR'ed in the weight throw (11.73m).

Other notable performances included
Wyatt Elliott placing 13
th out of 38 in the 5000-meter run and
Ethan Bliss placing 17
th out of 38 in the 800-meter run.

In next weekend's final tune-up before conference, MBU will once again split up the squad sending athletes to the Indoor Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan., and the Illinois Wesleyan Titan Open in Bloomington, Ill.
