ROLLA, MO. — Missouri Baptist University track and field delivered a well-rounded performance Saturday at the Dewey Allgood Invitational, highlighted by a first-place finish, multiple podium efforts, and several new NAIA marks.
Grant Patten led the day for the Spartans, capturing the men's 1500m title in 3:58.75 while hitting a new 2026 NAIA mark (#69). The men's 4x100m relay team of Elias Newberry, Brett Drye, Bryson Logan, and Brandin Dodd added a fifth-place finish in 42.97, earning a new NAIA mark (#93).
Logan also impressed individually, placing fourth in the 110m hurdles with a personal-best time of 15.51, good for another NAIA mark (#80). Drye contributed a sixth-place finish in the 100m (10.92), while Lucas Sa secured a podium spot in the 400m hurdles with a third-place finish (57.03).
In the distance events, Brandon Etheridge placed fourth in the 5000m (15:39.63), and Ethan Bliss added a 12th-place finish in the 1500m (4:14.30). In the field events, Braden Kirn recorded a seventh-place finish in the javelin (51.34m), earning a new NAIA mark (#65), while Jordan Walker-Wright placed seventh in the hammer throw (50.06m).
On the women's side, the Spartans were led by a strong showing in the 5000m, where Julia Whorton (third, 19:16.20), Alyssa Collins (fourth, 19:22.19), and Haley Hernandez (fifth, 19:34.70) all finished in the top five.
Adrienne Rockette added a sixth-place finish in the 1500m (5:00.32), while Mattie Noyes recorded a personal-best 2:28.02 to place fifth in the 800m. TaMari Allen contributed a ninth-place finish in the 100m (12.87).
In the field events, Emma Lawson placed sixth in the hammer throw (38.71m), and Carly Roussin finished ninth in the high jump (1.45m).
