JEFFRSON CITY, Mo.- It was an eventful day for Missouri Baptist Men's Track and Field at the Lincoln University Open this weekend (April 7-8). With nine top ten finishes and over ten new personal record set, the Spartans really brought their A-game.

Grant Shankle was one of two Spartans who were able to secure a first-place finish. Shankle who competed in the Javelin Throw, earned the gold with a distance of 52.51 meters.
Donovan Denslow, who took part in two events this go around, had a standout performance in the 1500-meter run. Denslow not only placed first with a time of 3:52.96, the junior also set a new personal record in the event.
The next highest finisher of the meet came from Wyatt Elliot. In the 3000-meter run, the senior placed third with a time of 9:07.40, just three seconds shy of beating his PR.
Camden Woolbright made his way into the finals of the 110-meter hurdles after setting a new PR of 15.87 in the prelims. In the finals he didn't fare as well, clocking a time of 21.95, but still earning the seventh-place finish.
Keon Graham took part in the 400-meter hurdles for the Spartans and came away with a ninth-place finish. He finished the race in a time of 17.89, one second behind his PR.
Jordan Walker-Wright earned a couple top ten finishes and a new PR in each of his events, the first of which was a seventh-place finish in the shot put. He threw a distance of 14.05 meters, marking his new PR. In the discus, the sophomore also earned seventh with a distance of 43.51 meters, setting another new PR. Walker-Wright earned the last PR on the meet in the hammer throw with a distance of 42.15 meters and took 13
th place.
More PRs came from a legion of Spartans, with eight others able to beat their previous records. The throwers,
Jordan Notz,
Warren Gann,
Collin Hutson all earned new PRs. Notz set two, one in the discus (29.16m) and the other in the javelin (36.90m). Gann set two of his own, the first in the discus (32.43m) and the second in the hammer throw (31.03m). Hutson was able to earn a new PR this go around in the hammer throw (36.25m) as well.
Quite a few runners were able to set new PRs of their own.
Aubrey Morris set a new PR in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:30.04. Charlie McCallister set a new PR in the 1500-meter run also, clocking in at 4:29.89.
David Fletcher earned one of his own in the 800, setting it at 1:59.68.
Elias Neely earned his sole PR in the 400-meter dash, clocking in at 52.02.
Dorian Gray was able to secure two new PRs in both the 100-meter dash and the 400-meter dash with times of 11.79 and 54.42, respectively.
The Spartans will be back at it on Friday, April 14 for the UCM Mule Relays.
