ST. LOUIS- Missouri Baptist Men's Track & Field split up this weekend to take on different track meets. With the SLU Billiken Invitational canceled due to weather, the team participated in the WashU Distance Carnival and the CMU Invite.
Jordan Crawford was the lone Spartan heading to CMU. He participated in the 5000-meter racewalk where he took on four other athletes. The graduate student took the gold with a time of 21:24.71 setting a new personal record.
The Spartan distance runners took on the WashU Distance Carnival here in St. Louis.
David Fletcher,
Jack Warmann and Wyatt Elliot participated in day one of the meet while
Donovan Denslow was the lone Spartan on the second day.
Both Fletcher and Warmann took on the 5000-meter run. Fletcher clocking in a time of 16:17.80, placed 67
th out of 131 runners. Warmann was timed at 17:01.82 and placed 97
th. Elliot participated in in the day one 10000- meter run. Out of 48 runners, the senior placed seventh with a time of 32:58.01.
Day two of the meet we saw another set of runners. Denslow who participated in the second go around for the 10000-meter run placed 27
th out of the 62 runners that took part. The junior set a new personal record of 30:39.13, beating his old record by more than a minute.
Up next, the Spartans will be heading to Jefferson City this weekend (April 8) to take on the Lincoln University Open.
