Spartans Set to Play AMC Rivals: Mustangs & (10) Cougars

ST. LOUIS — The Missouri Baptist University women's soccer team has an exciting week of American Midwest Conference game play ahead.

Today (Oct. 15), MBU plays Central Baptist College at Spartan Field. Coming off another AMC win against Stephens College on Oct. 10, Missouri Baptist highly anticipates this match.

All 11 times the Spartans and Mustangs have faced each other, MBU has won. In their most recent match in 2023, Missouri Baptist beat CBC 8-0.

Central Baptist has one goal on the 2024 season, and they have yet to win a game. They also lost to Stephens 3-1, compared to MBU's 4-2 win over the Stars.

COLUMBIA, Mo.— On Saturday (Oct. 19), MBU plays the nationally ranked Cougars of Columbia College. Missouri Baptist has only defeated CBC two times in their long history of game play.

CC has 38 goals on the 2024 season, and they hold a 9-1-1 record overall. Like the Spartans, they are undefeated in the AMC.

Columbia College has also had team members win AMC Player of the Week honors four weeks in a row.

Both teams hold similar shot on goal percentages, with MBU's being .526 and CC's being .535.
