ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University men's soccer played to a 2-2 draw against Harris-Stowe State University, marking the Spartans' second consecutive tie.
The result brings MBU to 8-5-2 on the season and 3-0-2 in conference play.
Despite taking a 2-0 lead, the Spartans couldn't hold off the Hornets, who rallied in the second half to even the score.
MBU outshot HSSU 16-11, and a total of 27 fouls were called, with 19 charged to the Hornets.
Sergej Misic and Luka Mrvic each scored for the Spartans. Misic's goal, his sixth of the season, came early in the fourth minute to put MBU ahead 1-0. Mrvic doubled the lead in the 57th minute with his second goal of the year.
However, Harris-Stowe responded with goals in the 60th and 69th minutes to level the match and secure the draw.

MBU (8-5-2) returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 26, for Senior Day against Hannibal-LaGrange University at Spartan Field. Kickoff is set for noon.
