Jeschke Announces Additions to 2025 MBU Competitive Dance Team

ST. LOUIS – The schedule is posted. The roster is set. Missouri Baptist University Head Competitive Dance Coach, Abby Jeschke, has announced her 2025 recruiting class. She brought six freshmen and one transfer onto the high-energy team.

Avery Cage

Hillsboro, Mo. 

 

  • High School: Hillsboro High School
    • Danced on Hillsboro JV Hawkettes Dance Team 
    • Trained at Next Generations Dance Steps  
  • Plans to major in Psychology

 

Words from Coach Jeschke: “I’m proud to say Avery is the first dancer we signed for the 24-25 season. As soon as I saw her amazing energy I knew she would be a great fit for MBU’s dance team. She is a very hard worker and kills it with the facials every time. We are so excited to have you on the team Avery!”  

Fabiana Cristaldo 

Asuncion, Paraguay 

 

  • Previous School: The Colegio Cristo Rey
    • Danced at Nucleo de Arte y Danza 
  • Plans to major in Marketing and minor in Business Administration

Aubrey Lemmon

Tamaroa, Ill.

 

  • Previous School: Fontbonne University
    • Danced on Pinckneyville Community High School Poms Team 
    • Trained at UpBeat Dance Studio 
  • Plans to major in Psychology

 

Words from Coach Jeschke: “Aubrey is a transfer from Fontbonne University. We feel extremely lucky that she chose our program to continue her athletic journey. She has high level skills and inevitably will make a great impact on this team. Welcome to the Spartan family Aubrey!” 

Avery Schaefer 

Ballwin, Mo.

 

  • High School: Parkway South High School 
    • Danced on Parkway South Patriettes Dance Team 
  • Plans to major in Criminal Justice

 

Words from Coach Jeschke: “Avery is a high level dancer from Parkway South who has incredible movement quality and musicality. It’s an honor to coach such a high-level athlete and we are happy to have her here as a Spartan!” 

Kenedi Thorn 

Millstadt, Ill.

 

  • High School: Belleville West High School
    • Apart of Belleville West High School Color Guard Team 
  • Plans to major in Nursing

Aeriana Woodard

Bridgeton, Mo. 

 

  • High School: Pattonville High School
    • Danced on Pattonville’s Varsity Drill Team
    • Plans to major in Elementary Education and Minor in Psychology

 

Words from Coach Jeschke: “Aeriana is an amazing dancer from Pattonville high school. She has high-level skills and great potential to push the bar in competition. I can’t wait to work with her this season and see all she accomplishes.”

Madelyn Woodward 

House Springs, Mo.

 

  • High School: Northwest High School
    • Danced on Northwest Lionettes Dance Team 
  • Plans to major in Elementary Education

 

Words from Coach Jeschke: “Maddie is an incredible athlete, and Spartan Line is so lucky to have her on the team. She works hard at every practice and her attention to detail makes her dancing consistent, clean, and precise. We can’t wait to have Maddie’s awesome energy on the sidelines!” 

These new Spartans and the rest of the team highly anticipate their first tournament of the season at home on Saturday (Feb. 1).
