Competitive Dance Earns Hardware at NDA Collegiate Nationals

DAYTONA, Fla. – For the first time in program history, Missouri Baptist University Competitive Dance placed in the top five teams in two categories of the National Dance Alliance National Championship (NAIA Division) on Saturday (April 12) and Sunday (April 13).

They placed third in the NAIA Pom Division, lighting up the stage with their energy and precise technique. The Spartans scored 81.6 points, just about three points off from the winning score.

Dancing through injuries, the Spartans stayed resilient in their NAIA Team Performance. They excelled through the challenges, taking fifth place in the division with 79.95 points.

MBU dominated in the 2025 season, going 2-0 overall in their dance duals. They also took first place in their home competition, and third in the American Midwest Conference Championship.

They graduate three senior leaders who excelled on and off the dance floor. A young team, Competitive Dance returns eight Spartans for the 2026 season. They highly anticipate the growth of the program and continue to raise the bar every year.
