ST. LOUIS - No. 2 seed Missouri Baptist University men's soccer defeated No. 7 seed Central Baptist College, 4-1, on Wednesday evening in the quarterfinals of the AMC Tournament.
The Spartans picked up their first postseason win and will now face No. 3 seed Williams Baptist University in the semifinals on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Spartan Field.

Four different goal scorers helped MBU to victory, with Sergej Misic, Marko Dordevic, Anthony Coppotelli, and Edvin Mahmutovic each finding the back of the net.
MBU controlled the game from start to finish, outshooting the Mustangs 17-5.
Physical play was evident on both sides as CBC was charged with 13 fouls, while the Spartans had 12. Six cards were issued, five to the Mustangs and one to MBU.
Misic opened the scoring in the fifth minute with an assist from Dordevic, giving the Spartans an early 1-0 lead. CBC responded quickly in the 14th minute to tie the game at 1-1, but Dordevic answered back in the 15th minute, scoring off an assist from Jovan Mihajlovic to give MBU a 2-1 lead going into halftime.
After the break, Coppotelli scored in the 70th minute with an assist from Dordevic, and Mahmutovic secured the victory in the 80th minute, putting the Spartans ahead for good at 4-1 and advancing MBU to the semifinals.
