PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Missouri Baptist University men's soccer team fell to (RV) Trinity Christian College, 2-0, dropping to 4-3 on the season.
The Spartans were held scoreless for just the second time this season.
Sean Stone recorded a season-high 12 saves on 14 shots in his effort in net today.
Two first-half goals were enough for Trinity Christian to secure the victory over MBU.
The Trolls outshot the Spartans 17-10 and had 14 shots on goal compared to MBU's four.
Trinity Christian opened the scoring in the fifth minute and added a second goal in the 38th minute. Neither team scored in the second half as the Trolls held on for the 2-0 win.
MBU (4-3) returns to action Wednesday at 1 p.m. CDT against No. 13 Cumberland at Spartan Field.
