DUBUQUE, Iowa - Missouri Baptist University men's soccer fell to Clarke University, 5-0, on Tuesday at Burrows Field.
The Pride outshot the Spartans 19-14 and had 12 shots on goal compared to the MBU's six.
Corner kicks were even at 6-6, and Clarke committed 15 fouls to the Spartans' nine.
Sergej Misic and Matthew O'Reilly led MBU with three shots each.
Sean Stone started in goal for the Spartans, making four saves and allowing two goals before being replaced by Callum McKinlay. McKinlay, in his second appearance of the season, made three saves and allowed three goals.
From start to finish, the Pride maintained control of the match, securing a 5-0 victory.
MBU (4-5) returns to action on Saturday at 7 p.m. CDT, hosting Mission University in its first conference match of the season. The Spartans will look to bounce back and begin conference play on the right foot.
