Baisch and Ranney Earn First Heart Player of the Week Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Evan Baisch and Keegan Ranney were named Heart of America Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the first time in their careers on Monday, Oct. 13. The duo turned in their best performances of the season in a matchup against Mount Mercy University on Oct. 11. 

Redshirt sophomore Baisch left it all on the field Saturday, recording his second career shutout with 10 saves against the RV Mustangs. Senior forward Ranney notched a career-high two goals and added an assist for five points, all within a 12-minute stretch against Mount Mercy. He now leads the team with 11 total points this season. 

Next up for the Spartans is the home match up against Baker University (Kan.) on Oct. 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Spartan Field.
