ST. LOUIS - Taking on Williams Baptist, Carter Sabol opened the series with a complete game shutout helping the Spartans claim a 3-0 victory, also picking up his second AMC Pitcher of the Week award.

Sabol set the table for Missouri Baptist's weekend sweep over the Eagles as he allowed just seven baserunners in his seven innings of shutout work. He picked up his seventh win of the season for MBU while striking out six batters and facing 29 batters on just 93 pitches.

Game one against the Eagles was Sabol's first complete game of the season despite his dominant performances throughout the season. The graduate student from Nokomis, Ill. has racked up 43.1 innings and 67 punch outs in his eight appearances so far.
