KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri Baptist University outfielder Carlos Hidalgo has been named to the NAIA All-America Second Team following a strong 2026 campaign in which he led the Spartans' offense.

Hidalgo started all 52 games and hit .395 with 81 hits in 205 at-bats. He totaled 67 runs scored, 61 RBIs, 15 doubles, and 16 home runs while drawing 27 walks. He also added 13 stolen bases in 16 attempts.

Hidalgo recorded 21 multi-hit games during the season, including a five-hit performance against Benedictine College (Kan.) on April 6. He drove in a season-high five RBIs and hit two home runs in a March 13 win over Baker University (Kan.).

He reached base consistently throughout the year, finishing with a .395 batting average while helping power Missouri Baptist's lineup in conference and postseason play. Hidalgo also contributed defensively in the outfield, posting a .986 fielding percentage with 68 putouts and four assists.

Hidalgo's production included multiple key performances late in the season, including a four-hit, four-RBI effort against Central Baptist College (Ark.) on May 12 and a three-hit, three-RBI game against William Carey University (Miss.) in the NAIA Opening Round on May 11.

The NAIA All-America honor marks one of the top individual recognitions in the sport and caps Hidalgo's 2026 season as one of the most productive hitters in the country.
