FULTON, Mo. – The Missouri Baptist University women's tennis team swept Westminster College, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon for its ninth win of the season.
With the victory, the Spartans improved to 9-6 overall and 2-3 on the road.
MBU claimed the doubles point after winning all three matches. The pairings of Nirva Patel and Yvonne Shannon, Jocelynn Carmody and Mia McIsaac, and Polina Agapitova and Mariana Azevedo each recorded wins to give the Spartans early momentum.
In singles play, Agapitova, Shannon, Carmody, Teodora Iacob, Azevedo and McIsaac all earned victories to secure the team sweep.
