OZARK, Mo. – First-seeded Missouri Baptist University advanced to the second round of the Heart of America Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament behind
Teague Robertson's complete-game shutout.
Robertson, a graduate student from Columbia, Mo., struck out nine batters over nine innings, allowing three hits and no walks as the Spartans defeated the Bobcats 5-0.

MBU took control early, scoring three times in the first.
Marcus Graham drove in the opening run with a groundout before
Nick Beech followed with an RBI single.
Griffin Brown added another run-scoring single to make it 3-0.
The Spartans added a run in the third when
Jayden Orozco scored on a wild pitch, extending the lead to four. Orozco later delivered a sacrifice fly in the seventh to plate
Carlos Hidalgo for the final margin.
Orozco finished with two hits and scored twice to lead Missouri Baptist's offense, which collected eight hits.
Peru State starter Casey Ogden (4-7) allowed five runs, three earned, on eight hits over seven innings.
Robertson (7-3) struck out nine and did not walk a batter in a complete-game effort for Missouri Baptist (38-8), which limited PSC to just three singles.
