ATCHISON, KAN. – Missouri Baptist University women's lacrosse saw its season come to a close on Saturday morning, falling 20-4 to Benedictine College (Kan.) in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championship.
The Spartans finished the year with an 11-6 record, while Benedictine capped a perfect 16-0 season with the conference title.
Benedictine set the tone early, scoring the game's first seven goals in the opening quarter and taking an 11-0 lead into the final seconds of the first half. Defensively, Missouri Baptist combined for nine saves in goal, with Rachel Livak recording seven stops over most of the contest.
