ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist University women's lacrosse continued its historic 2026 campaign with a strong showing in the Heart of America Athletic Conference postseason awards, as nine Spartans earned All-Conference recognition while multiple players and a coach received top individual honors following another standout season.
Six Spartans were named First Team All-Conference, including Sophia Rose, Madison Terrell, Delaney Pechnik, Emily Goewert, Hayley Schnefke, and Rachel Livak. Second Team All-Conference honors went to Skyler Morrissey, Marissa Oldham, and Alexis Taylor.
Highlighting the individual awards, Livak was named the Heart Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring one of the conference's top defensive units throughout the season. The goalkeeper consistently made key saves in conference play, totaling 109 saves on the season. She ended the year with a 9.94 goals against average and a .458 save percentage.
Rose added to her breakout campaign by earning Heart Newcomer of the Year honors. In her first season with Missouri Baptist, Rose quickly established herself as one of the top offensive threats in the conference. She started in all 17 games and racked up an outstanding 68 points. Her shots-on-goal percentage finished at .737.
On the sidelines, Sophia Zegar was recognized as the Heart Assistant Coach of the Year for her role in guiding the Spartans through another successful season as the defensive coordinator.
National recognition followed for several Spartans, as Pechnik, Goewert, and Rose were each named NAIA All-Americans after standout performances during the 2026 season. The trio played major roles in Missouri Baptist's success, consistently contributing on both ends of the field while helping the program remain among the conference's top competitors.
Pechnik added 76 points to the season while Goewert contributed 38 ground balls on the season.
The long list of postseason honors caps off another memorable year for Missouri Baptist women's lacrosse and reflects the depth, leadership, and consistency displayed by the Spartans throughout the season.
