KANSAS CITY, Mo. – No. 7 Missouri Baptist University baseball will open the NAIA Opening Round as the second seed in the Williamsburg bracket and will take on third-seeded William Carey University (Miss.).
The Spartans enter the NAIA National Tournament as the Heart of America Athletic Conference Regular Season Champions after going 24-4 in conference play and 39-10 overall. In the conference tournament,
Teague Robertson earned All-Tournament Team honors after shutting out Peru State College ahead of a team exit in the semifinals.
MBU had seven named to the
All-Conference First Team and tallied nine overall. Head Coach
Eddie Uschold earned Co-Coach of the Year as the team led the conference in home runs (76), batting average (.336), earned run average (4.25), saves (9), and strikeouts (367).
The Spartans and Crusaders played twice in 2026, with MBU taking game one 3-1 on Feb. 12 and game two 9-6 on Feb. 13 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
The first pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, at Doyle Buhl Stadium. A
