No. 7 Missouri Baptist University baseball was well represented in the 2026 Heart of America Athletic Conference postseason awards, highlighted by Co-Head Coach of the Year honors for
Eddie Uschold and a conference-leading group of All-Conference selections.
Uschold earned Co-Head Coach of the Year recognition after guiding the Spartans to a 39-10 overall record and a 24-4 mark in conference play to earn the Heart Regular Season title. In his 26th season at the helm, he led Missouri Baptist to a .796 winning percentage and a top-10 national ranking, continuing the program's consistent success at both the conference and national levels.
Missouri Baptist placed seven players on the All-Conference First Team, showcasing one of the most balanced and productive lineups in the Heart.
Jayden Orozco led the offensive charge, batting .386 with 66 hits, 12 home runs, 58 RBI, and 55 runs scored, while posting a .495 on-base percentage.
Carlos Hidalgo added a .382 average with 14 home runs, 54 RBI, and a team-high 64 runs scored, anchoring the middle of the lineup.
Nick Beech (.329, 10 home runs, 45 RBI) earned First Team honors at first base, while
Max Shabestari contributed across the board at second base with 44 hits, 38 RBI, and eight home runs.
Sam Paule rounded out the infield selections after hitting .372 with 30 RBI and 40 runs scored.
In the outfield,
Griffin Brown (.355, six home runs, 32 RBI) joined Hidalgo on the First Team, helping power a Missouri Baptist offense that hit .337 as a team with 76 home runs and 422 runs scored.
On the mound,
Zach Peters represented the Spartans on the First Team after a strong season out of the bullpen, posting a 2.49 ERA with a conference-high seven saves and 35 strikeouts in 21.2 innings. Missouri Baptist's pitching staff combined for a 4.22 ERA while holding opponents to a .251 batting average.
The Spartans also received additional recognition among conference teams.
Marcus Graham earned Second Team All-Conference honors at catcher after batting .377 with 49 hits and a .491 on-base percentage.
Kai Gray was named Second Team All-Conference in the outfield, hitting .412 with 42 hits and 38 runs scored in limited action.
Tyler Timmerman received Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition on the mound after compiling a 5-4 record with 51 strikeouts across 46 innings.
Missouri Baptist also had representation on the Heart All-Tournament Team, as
Teague Robertson was named a starting pitcher after tossing a complete-game, three-hit shutout over Peru State College in the tournament opener.
