ST. LOUIS – Anna Recer led Missouri Baptist women's soccer to a 2-0 week and was named the American Midwest Conference Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts on Monday.
Recer provided Missouri Baptist with an outstanding effort on Wednesday and was the main reason of the Spartan's first conference win of the year. Recer broke a scoreless tie with Lyon College on Wednesday with a goal in the 85th minute to lead her team to a win.
On Saturday, Recer again posted a goal and added two assists in a 16-0 win at Williams Baptist College. Over the course of the week, her six points were at the center of MBU's success.
"Anna (Recer) was fantastic for us this week," said Missouri Baptist Head Coach Deno Merrick. Her ability to see and read the game made our overall team performance more dynamic. She has been one of our standout players this year based on her work ethic."
