ST. LOUIS- Two goals from the home squad were enough to down the Missouri Baptist women's soccer team, as they fell 2-0 against Park. The loss is the first AMC loss for MBU, as they drop to 3-1.
Elizabeth Kahn made her second straight start in net for coach Deno Merrick's team. She made five saves throughout the game, while allowing two goals.
Anna Recer and Megan Huffman had two shots on goal each, while Taylor Fath, Ashly Wiedenhoffer and Kaytlin Nevels each had a shot on goal.
Park netted a goal with 18:13 left in the first half on a goal by Bridget Steiner.
In the second half, Park added another goal just eight minutes into the half. Schnell Briscoe was credited with the goal.
Missouri Baptist had two shots on goal in the final six minutes, but unable to get on the scoreboard.
The Spartans fall to 5-5-1 overall and 3-1 in AMC play. They will play at Harris-Stowe on Tuesday at 1:00 pm.
