ST. LOUIS - The Missouri Women's tennis team lost to the Bearcats 9-0 on Saturday. After dropping their second straight match, head coach Marty Tanner continued to praise the women's efforts and work ethic.
"They continued to compete hard against the strength of their opponents, but could not get the game," Tanner said. "My hope is that the team remembers what is positive about their games to use for their benefit in the next match."
Nicole Savant pushed her opponent at No. 3 singles, but eventually lost 6-3, 6-3. Nicole Zevlever fought back after dropping the first set 6-1, but lost the second 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
The Spartans will travel to Bethel University in Tennessee during spring break. Play will begin at 2:00 p.m. on March 7th.
