ST. LOUIS – [Results] The Missouri Baptist women's tennis team played Missouri Valley tight, but eventually fell to the Vikings, 8-1. MBU falls to 1-9 on the season.

The Spartans earned the first victory of the match when the No. 3 doubles team of Haley Grueber and Lindsey Kuehnel won, 9-8.

No. 1 singles player Nika Juricic dropped a very close match, falling 7-5 and 6-4.

Grueber nearly won her second match of the day, but fell at No. 5 singles, 6-3 and 7-6.

The Spartans are set to host Lindenwood-Belleville on April 16 and Saint Louis College of Pharmacy on April 17.
