ST. LOUIS [BOX SCORE] - The Missouri Baptist men's lacrosse team defeated University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) 10-3 at home on Friday.
The Spartans (2-2) started strong as the team recorded the first two goals of the game. The Partiots managed to find the back of the Spartan net in the final minute of the first quarter.
MBU went on a run in the second and third quarters with seven unanswered goals.
Missouri Baptist recorded one more goal in the opening of the fourth quarter and the University of the Cumberlands followed with two goals of its own before the final buzzer sounded.
Dan Mollet led the Spartans with three goals on the day. Aaron McClintock, Chase Hammernick and Devin Mayer recorded two goals apiece. Tim Borroff also contributed one goal of his own.
MBU will take the field again on Saturday, March 19 against the MCLA No. 1 ranked University of Dayton.
