ST. LOUIS – [FINAL RESULTS] Missouri Baptist Women's Tennis saw the fruits of its hard work in the offseason on Monday. The squad put together a big effort against NCAA D-III Fontbonne (Mo.) to grab a 9-0 win.

Missouri Baptist (1-3) not only got its first win, but got its first shutout of the year in the process. Krista Tyson, Emily Brown, Emma Schoch and Kelsey Welton all notched shutout victories during singles play while Spartan teams of Rafaela Davide/Emily Brown and Lindsey Burgess/Elizabeth Siegfried both had shutouts of their own in doubles.

The closest match was at No. 1 doubles, but the Spartans' team of Tyson/Dani-Jo Stevenson shut the door with an 8-4 win.

The Spartans will gear-up for a tough week over Spring Break as they will face two highly-ranked opponents in No. 21 Southeastern (Fla.) and Warner (Fla.). The latter of which is currently receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
