ST. LOUIS – Missouri Baptist Women's Tennis fell to Missouri Valley College (Mo.) 8-1.

Sophomore Krista Tyson continued to show her on court strength and recorded the only win of the day at No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-1.
Freshman Lindsey Burgess fought hard at singles No. 6, but the Vikings took the win 6-1, 6-0, 11-9.
Burgess also came to close to win at doulbes No. 3 with partner Emily Brown, however they couldn't overcome Missouri Valley College and lost 8-6.
"It wasn't our best day and we could've played the wind a bit better, but overall this was a good measuring stick for us to see what level we need to get to in order to compete with the best women's teams in our conference," said Head Coach Cole Stevenson. "Our doubles play has come along pretty nicely as well."
The Spartans travel to St. Louis College of Pharmacy on April 2. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.
