OLATHE, Kan - Missouri Baptist women's tennis season came to an end against Baker University on Friday. The Spartans fell 5-0 to the Wildcats in a match that was much closer than the shutout suggests.
Missouri Baptist (5-10, 3-3 AMC) put forth a strong effort in doubles, but came up just short and fell behind 3-0.
At No.1 doubles, Krista Tyson and Dani Stevenson exchanged leads all match, but lost 9-7.
At No.2 doubles, Rafaela Davide and Haley Grueber were narrowly edged out in a tiebreaker.
Despite several highly competitive singles matches in progress, the dual concluded when the Wildcats picked up two singles wins.
This year's team featured only one senior. Senior Haley Grueber played her final match as a Spartan.
