ST. LOUIS [BOX SCORE] – The Missouri Baptist men's lacrosse team fell to Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) 10-9 on a rainy Saturday in the GRLC semifinal.
The Spartans struggled to get going in the first half with only two goals in each quarter. The Lynx held the momentum and with longer offensive possessions LUB was able to notch three goals in each quarter of the first half.
MBU was down 6-2 as the team came back from the half and started to close the scoring gap off the coat tails of Austin Dahl. Dahl netted three goals alone in the quarter to keep the Spartans within four.
Missouri Baptist held the Lynx to one goal in the fourth quarter but that one goal kept the Lynx alive as MBU fell just one goal short of overtime.
Austin Dahl led the offense with four goals in the game.
The Spartans will now look to the NAIA Invitational. MBU will play against Lourdes (Ohio) on May 5 at 6 p.m. CST in Greenville, S.C.
